About BEN'SHOME

We make one thing, and we have been making it since 2019: a board that goes under sofa cushions and stops you sinking through them.

We were first, and then we got copied

We brought this product to market in 2019. Since then a lot of lookalikes have appeared, most of them thinner, most of them foam or MDF pretending to be wood. We are still here, still making the same thing, and still the ones answering the email when a size question comes up.

What we do

A sofa often starts to fail from underneath - not from the cushions.

The cushions may still look fine and the frame may remain strong, but the webbing or springs supporting the seating area can stretch and weaken over time. As a result, you sit down and sink much farther than you should.

Many people assume the cushions are the problem, spend money on new foam, and are disappointed when the sofa still feels uncomfortable. Others replace the entire sofa unnecessarily, even though the real issue is often the lack of support beneath the cushions.

We make the couch cushion support fix with solid wood boards that sits on the deck under those cushions and gives them something firm to rest on while keeping it comfortable. It is not clever and it is not new engineering. It just works, it costs under a hundred dollars, and it takes about a minute to fit.

Why so many sizes

Because sofas are not built to a standard. A three-seater from one maker and a three-seater from another can differ by six inches inside the arms and four inches front to back. One universal board would fit almost nobody properly.

So we make twenty-five. That is more inventory and more complexity for us, and it is the only way a board actually disappears under your cushions instead of pressing on your armrests or hanging over the front edge.

Why we keep asking you to measure

Getting the size right is what gets you the full benefit of it. So we built a size finder that does the matching for you, we publish the measuring guide, and we will check your numbers by email before you order if you would rather a person looked at it.

None of that is generosity. Everyone does better when it is right the first time: you get the seat you paid for on the day it arrives, and we do not spend the week arranging a return.

What we will not tell you

That this fixes every sofa. It does not. If your frame is cracked or your springs have snapped, a support board is the wrong tool and we would rather say so than take your money.

We also do not make health claims about it. A firm, even seat is more comfortable to sit on and easier to get out of than a sagging one. That is what customers tell us, and that is as far as we will go.

Enjoy your sofa again.
